Translation Helper
Translation review, with the context it needs.
We built a focused workspace where reviewers can compare app translations, see how wording fits in the interface, and leave clear feedback for developers.
The challenge
Words need context.
A translated phrase can read well on its own and still feel wrong inside an app. Reviewers need to understand what a button does, where a message appears, and how the wording fits the rest of the experience.
We wanted a straightforward way to bring the source text, draft translations, app context, and reviewer feedback together.
How it works
A clearer path from review to handoff.
Compare the wording
Read the English source beside the translation draft. Search entries and filter by priority, review status, or section to focus on the work at hand.
Check it in context
Open a browser preview of the relevant app screen to understand where the text appears and what it helps someone do.
Leave useful feedback
Save a suggested translation, add notes, and mark review progress. Export the feedback so developers can consider and apply changes in the source app.
What we built
The interface and the systems behind it.
The project brings together a custom review interface, private workspaces with individual access codes, app previews, saved suggestions and notes, and tools for importing catalogs and exporting feedback.
It supports multiple apps and languages, with each review tied to its assigned source version. Reviewers can track their work and return to their saved feedback.
The working service is private and available to invited reviewers. This showcase explains the project using demo content.
